Pinpointer HS-11 is a mini metal detector that allows the search system to locate a target on the ground with high precision. The requirements for modern pinpointers are very strict!

Who needs a pinpointer? It is used when it is necessary to determine the exact location of the metal, and it is not possible to use the usual large-diameter search metal detector (for example, a narrow niche). In addition, it is very likely that you will not be able to dig up the target the first time, and as you continue to widen / deepen the hole, you can easily touch a rare find with a shovel, significantly reducing its value.

It is hard to imagine how much work a search hobbyist who is not armed with a pinpointer will do.

With a simple search metal detector, you will have to: Excavate the place of the intended target with great effort, then remove this entire mass of soil to the surface, then spread it and carefully inspect it with the device. The soil will need to be scooped up by hand and each handful fed to the coil of the metal detector, and at the end of the process sifting the soil between your fingers to extract the find.
